 In the Spring of 1989, Helen's Daughters was created. 

 We made modest little handbags with an amazing amount of handwork. 

 The trend then, was to have an artist draw images for your catalogues.

 These are our first Helen's Daughters designs 

drawn by Julie Sutter-Blair.

 the January Challenge.

February Fabrics

On snowy below zero day.
 Mariella and Char from Helen's Daughters
headed to the Twin Cities.
It was time for Febraury fabrics.
 In an ocean of fabric, each made their fabric choices.
Now the fun begins -
designing and making new spring handbags.
We no longer purchase 10 - 20 yards of fabric.
3-5 yards keeps our designs fresh and interesting.
Can't wait to get back to the studio!
