March/April
(Inside the DDS Handbag)
Late Winter/Early Spring in the studio has been slow. I am working on
getting our home and studio Spring cleaned. It's a slow process.
With our favorite fabric store going out of business, it's been a mad dash
to find the materials we need, before they will be harder to find.
I think we are set for this year and will find new outlets for
what we need to complete our handbags. This is nothing new. We've been in
business since 1989. In our years of work, we've had to find almost all new outlets
for linings, trims, zippers, fabric, etc. It's all a little easier than it was in the 1990's. I
bought my first PC and had a website for Helen's Daughters in 1994. How luck we are today to just
look on the business sites we find on our computer.
April will be busy with my first Spring Art Fair.
Stevens Point Festival of the Arts, Sunday, April 6,
in the Artisan and Fare building in Plover Wisconsin. My booth number is #46.
Come through the front door of the building and keep walking through about four rooms.
Just around the corner, you'll find me in the Barrel Room.
I've have a nice selection of new HDS handbags, slingers, and backpack.
We've had a Family Garage Sale in April for decades!

323 Water Street in Baraboo, Wisconsin

"An Afternoon in My Garden"
In the summer, so many of you want to stop by my studio and
shop for a handbag. Sorry, we are closed to the public. We live in an average neighbor
and cannot have a shop with hours. However, we can have a few events during the year.
From the poll I conducted on the HDS Facebook page, most of you picked
Saturday, August 2. So, tentatively we'll pencil in that date.
The "in person sales" will begin at 1 pm to 4 pm.
With a Facebook LIVE at 2 pm. We thought some of you might enjoy watching
"How the Sausage is Made". Keep this event in mind and put it on your cell phone calendars.
